Through your experience as an educator and as a mindfulness practitioner, you probably know how impactful teaching from the heart is for your students.
But this is not easy when you work under pressure. Not only is the delivery of education more multifaceted than ever before but educators are also finding they have to perform outside their job description to make sure they are addressing the wellbeing of their students, have adequate supplies by fundraising, and learning new technologies to stay current and organized.
The stress of high demands can be waring and there is not always enough support.

About Kate Munding
Mindfulness practice has been at the core of my life since 2004. In 2008, I got the opportunity to teach mindfulness to students in their classrooms and instantly fell in love with the work. Inspired and encouraged by the difference mindfulness programs made in the lives of these students as well as their teachers, I dedicated my professional life, as Director of Training for Mindful Schools and later Owner of Heart-Mind Education.
In the last ten years, I have guided over 2500 professionals in teachings mindful awareness and compassion to kids, and I've had the privilege of teaching over 2000 K-12 students directly.
Did I mention that I love teaching mindfulness? The whole of the human experience is fascinating, whether things are going great or when life is hard. Helping guide people to understand better their life and how to respond to each moment with more clarity, kindness, and wisdom, fuels my passion for teaching. It is tremendously rewarding and satisfying.
I live with my partner in the San Francisco East Bay, and we have an amazing young son, Leo. He is all over the place! Mindfulness helps me be a more patient and loving parent. It's been an essential tool in my relationships with all my loved ones.
In addition to being a secular mindfulness teacher, I am also a Buddhist Meditation Teacher and a proud member of the Teachers Council at Spirit Rock Meditation Center, and a lead teacher for their Family Program.
Now! Children was born out of a partnership with SeeTrue, a Netherland's based mindfulness training company, and Heart-Mind Education, my company, specializing in offering mindfulness curriculum training and programs to educators. This has been a united effort to make the curriculum and instruction more accessible to teachers around the globe. Now! Children's offerings come from ten plus years of experience in Mindfulness Education, is aligned to the current mindfulness research, and is always a heartfelt contribution to the world of education.
